CMI, Inc. Hosts Unique Bike Build Event to Empower Foster Youth in Austin
We’re proud to celebrate a special event where compassion, creativity, and community came together for a great cause! CMI, Inc. recently hosted a bike build event in partnership with Bikes for Goodness Sake, assembling 15 brand-new bicycles that were donated to LifeWorks Austin to support foster youth in the community.
What made this event even more memorable? To take team building to the next level, each bike build team included one blindfolded participant, turning the build into a powerful exercise in trust, communication, and collaboration. Following the bike build, the CMI, Inc. team rode the bikes to the LifeWorks Austin center to deliver directly to local youth. It was a fun and meaningful way to deepen connections while giving back.
With bikes and mechanics coordinated by Bikes for Goodness Sake, this wasn’t just a day of volunteer work, it was a reminder of what’s possible when people come together with purpose.
These bikes weren’t just built, they were earned through laughter, teamwork, and a shared belief that every young person deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Because when a child rides away on a brand-new bike, they’re not just moving forward, they’re rising with the strength of a community behind them.
See what great teamwork looks like in action!
