“a huge honor and privilege”

It was a huge honor and privilege to partner with Bikes For Goodness Sake and to surprise several  military children throughout the state with nice, new bicycles.  It was even more rewarding knowing that these children had been on the giving end of the equation for quite some time and to be able to bless them with a gift that often is “every child’s dream” was monumental.   While serving as the State Youth Coordinator for Texas Military Forces: Army and Air National Guard I was subjected to many  of the families ongoing challenges which they gracefully endured as part of their own individual “call to duty” during their loved ones deployment.  These struggles and challenges were difficult at best but when Bikes For Goodness Sake offered to provide some of these committed military children a beautiful gift it was truly life changing.  The day of the event several children were gifted new bicycles but not only were the children blessed with a wonderful gift but the volunteers who helped present the bikes also were blessed.  We all were blessed by Bikes For Goodness Sake’s continual desire to give back to others; and such an awesome, unselfish gesture should never be taken lightly.  Our hats are off to Mark and Pete and the entire Bikes for Goodness Sake staff.  Thank you so much for all you do to make a difference in the lives of others.  May the blessings you give to others come back to you as well.  God Bless You!

Very Respectfully,

Nancy Herren, SMSgt (RET)
